As Tender as a Beloved's First Tentative KissA Poem by abluehorseandflowersInspired by Dylan ThomasAs Tender as a Beloved's First Tentative Kiss
In time each shall discover their own bliss And the lingering full embrace of peace As tender as a Beloved's first tentative kiss
It cannot be said how but one could say this There is no prison from which we can't find release In time each shall discover their own bliss
Eureka is fleeting and easy to dismiss But hold fast for even a tiny increase As tender as a Beloved's first tentative kiss
Moments black will engulf as the deepest abyss Grapple with the anguish pray not for surcease In time each shall discover their own bliss
Mention must be made or chance dire remiss Resist the temptation of Golden Fleece
As tender as a Beloved's first tentative kiss Enduring pain always teaches sans parti-pris What forever has always been the missing piece In time each shall discover their own bliss As tender as a Beloved's first tentative kiss © 2014 abluehorseandflowers |
