I Am All There Is

I Am All There Is

3. I Am All There Is

Only my shame is it I fear

It declares that I'm the mistake

It tells me I'm not human

How could the Divine be near

What right have I to depend

On anyone but me

Or on my favorite 12 pack

There's nothing but limitless guilt to spend

So I hide distorted thinking

In a chemical atonement

And acting grandiose

Meanwhile my soul is sinking

I am a human doing

To hide an ugly truth

Everything I must control

Or else there's cravings brewing

Miracles do happen

But they don't for me

I go from pit to pit

I Am God abandoned

I Am All There Is then

In a bastardized creation

Where you mean less than me

To me your will must bend

Now that I'm left friendless

Everyone I've left behind

Battered, bruised and broken

I am my only witness
