3 AM on the InternetA Poem by Scott A. WilliamsA quick one
At this point of the night
you're the only name online and I haven't the will to click. Everyone else has gone, or cleverly set themselves away with a note of "gone to bed" -- still available for a delayed message left like a post-it on their desktop but you you're here. And me, I let my cursor hover over your name and fretfully wonder what, what, what would I say? How should I justify delaying your own possible escape from the e-world and not reveal my secret desires to talk with you about anything, anything, until sunrise. It's 3 AM on the internet and if I'm going to do nothing about it, I should just go. © 2010 Scott A. WilliamsReviews
