Be good and do it right.

seems easy but
you've got to keep it in mind
and with every
blind stumbling step
I've made through this life
I've forgotten how.

Well your adivce echoes in me,
with a freshness that doesn't fade
because everything should be easier
if I'm doing it right.

I can't do with your watchful eye
surveying my every move
but without it it seems
like I can't even budge.

Even the best
will forget from time to time
that before it can be done
someone must do.
