The Fly in Morning

The Fly in Morning

A Poem by Scott A. Williams
"

This is one of the first poems I wrote that was a serious attempt to convey... something. I later reversed a lot of the abstract elements in my style, but I feel like there's something to it.

"
If it's not one thing
it's another
as one thing can't be anything
but what it is
and there are many things.
And anything I don't know
maybe it can't be known
and maybe there's none
nothing, no-one, nobody
out standing in the road with a dress flapping
in the wind with arms outstretched ready
to welcome me. Her hair
blowing in the breeze, eyes gazing
she's not there.
She's nowhere.
Know where she is.

Scott A. Williams
Written in early 2005, this is the work of a bored 18-year-old with a thing for wordplay. Maybe I haven't changed that much.

At first I thought this was going to be the first attempt I had seen here at the real form of nonsense poetry but as you flowed its became an abstract thought and I was left feeling like a zephyr.

interesting write.
