A Desperate Man Pleads For His Woman to Stay

A Desperate Man Pleads For His Woman to Stay

A Poem by Scott A. Williams
"

As bare and as honest as I think I am capable of being.

"

Don't go,
don't f*****g go,
remove your fingers from the doorknob
and the key from the lock
and we can talk.
Don't go without telling me where
you will be and what you plan to do
about us, don't leave this hole,
don't leave me in it.
Don't go to him,
whatever you do,
I want you,
and I couldn't stand it if you did.
I can promise you anything,
I can change, I can change,
I can be anything if you don't go
and it won't help anything if you do.
I'm not perfect, and for f**k's sake
neither are you,
but we're perfect for each other,
ain't we?
Don't go,
don't go,
please.

Scott A. Williams
I've never been one for abstract imagery. I like the bare bones of an idea displayed for the world.

Wow.....I think everyone can relate to this brutally honest piece----there were snippets that were almost torturous as a reader I was thinking don't beg...either get between her and the door and make her speak to you or let her go....the fact that it even git a reaction of of me was funny but the point is moot.

suggestion.....and take it with a grain if salt...I would lose the ain't we as it doesnt flow with the rest of the language here...aren't we would be better.
