A Selection of HaikuA Poem by Scott De BuitléirA collection of various haiku I've written over the years. No connection between them - just wanted to have them all in one spot!Meánoíche chiúin fhliuch. Suaimhneas grámhar cneasta, Dá mbeifeá liom anocht. A cold, wet midnight; A kind, loving peace, should you Lay with me tonight. ----- Tús an Gheimhridh; Gaoth fhionnuar láidir Ag dúisiú na tíre. The start of Winter; A strong, cool wind awakens All within the land. ----- Peace / Síocháin November morning; Both my soul and the weather Calm, after the storm Maidin na Samhna; Tá m'anam 's an aimsir Suan, th'réis na stoirme. ----- Christmas Haiku Christmastime awakens; Moonlight on a garden path Keeps me safe tonight. ----- Haiciú Grá / A Love Haiku Tús mhí na Samhna; An grá faoi bhláth arís, le Póigín ar mo bhéal. November's Start; Love blossoms anew, with a Kiss upon my lips. ----- I lár na hoíche, Titim i mo chodladh; Táim slán, faoi dheireadh. Middle of the night - I fall into a slumber; I am safe, at last. © 2019 Scott De BuitléirAuthor's Note
