Night Train

Night Train

A Poem by R.L. Kamelot
"

A train's cry into the night through the hollow buildings of the motor cities

"

Silence

It breaks

Long and low over the echoes

Vanishing into sky

Click-clack, click-clack

On rails it travels

Cargo and man crossing cities and meadow

Once proud, once powerful

Foreign labor built it up

Ford's motor spelled its end

The shadow call of a bygone era

Grasping at its place in urbanism

Another sorrowful cry

Into night

Vanishes
