Teardrops On My Heart

Hope hovers in thick clouds

Striking in lightning bolts

Sharp stinging realization

Electrifying jolts

 

Snowing on me snowflakes

Crumbling on me crumbs

But then abrubtly halted

leaving my will numb

 

A bullet clutching all love from my heart

Chocking all breath from my voice

A broken heart left alone

Robbed of dreams or choice

 

A broken dream or hope

No matter how very small

Leaves teardrops on my heart

Forever free to fall
