Drowning in Drama

Drowning in Drama

A Poem by Sarah J Dhue
"

A little song dedicated to the life of an average teenager

"

I thought I'd go for a swim and see all the life
But I went out too far
Lured by all the pretty fish

Water's up around my neck
It's getting harder and harder to breathe
This water's too deep to get a foothold
And I'm sinking
The water is covering the top of my head

And I'm drowning
Drowning
Reaching and groping
But there's nothing to grab
Only more water, leaking through my fingers
Keep going down
Will I ever be found

I keep going deeper
Losing air little by little
So hard to breathe
In an ocean this deep

Water leaking through my fingers
Keep going down
Will I ever be found
