The GodA Poem by Sarah J DhuePoem from the POV of a deity.I sit upon a throne
of praises Stare down upon a
world of woes Temples and idols
built in my image Songs and tales of
fallen foes My name upon their
breath Food and other
offerings at night I prance through
their dreams Then worship starts
at day’s first light I have never known
a true touch My heart has never
fluttered And my eyes have
never swelled with tears My house is always
clean, never cluttered I have no things or
need to keep I’ve only heard of
blistering heat and frigid cold They all look up,
but know not that I look down I’ll never know
what it’s like to be in man’s world © 2019 Sarah J DhueFeatured Review
