Writer Wednesday #4: After a Historical Event

On my blog, I am doing a new 'event' called Writer Wednesdays. I post a prompt and others(including me) write something based on that prompt.

            The year was 146 BC, and I lived in a small village several miles from the city of Corinth.  The Romans had been trying to take over for some time, but we had always been sure we would win out in the end.  I had no idea my culture would soon be tramples upon, melted down, robbed from.  The Greco way of life would live on forever, endure for the centuries.  I knew not that I was both wrong and right, that while it would live on, it would forever be in the shadow of the Roman way of life.
