Writer Wednesday #2: Pet POVA Story by Sarah J DhueOn my blog, I am doing a new 'event' called Writer Wednesdays. I post a prompt and others(including me) write something based on that prompt. They are looking at me again. That is right, just standing there and
looking at me. They sometimes stand
there for minutes at a time, just looking at me. I tend to just look back, wondering what kind
of game they are playing. They do not do
much while they look, sometimes point or giggle into their hands. The water alters the sounds they make into
very strange vibrations, but I have grown used to this. When they are not looking at me, they sometimes get
on the large platform across the room and proceed to wrap their limbs around
each other and shed their outer coverings.
Other times they just lay there for hours at a time, doing nothing,
appearing to be completely dormant. And still, other times, they are nowhere to be seen
and this is what troubles me. The
thought that there is something beyond my home, which somehow keeps me
contained in its invisible walls, is a very daunting sentiment. I have plenty of food and water, but
sometimes when they just stand there looking at me, I wonder if they are admiring
a trophy they have caught, giggling in approval to each other at having found a
way to keep me magically contained in this place by means I cannot see or
comprehend. © 2015 Sarah J DhueFeatured Review
