"G-R-A-C-E tis a charming sound"

"G-R-A-C-E tis a charming sound"

A Poem by LSS
"

Without Him, I could do nothing!

"

God's infinite wisdom

   Chose me among men.

Redeemed me from my sin

   To new life again.

Although I should deserve

   Hells eternal preserve,

Christ Jesus set me free,

   By dying for me.

Eternally I've now,

   God's Grace for my crown.

Wow. Of course I love it. Really. It's awesome. I do agree, though, with the changing "I've" to " I have". I re-read it that way, and it indeed does sound better. Again, thank you for your words.

Me likey. :) This was very well done (even with the rhyme scheme you seem to be unable to escape from). ;) Very well inspired as well as inspiring. One suggestion though. Consider changing "I've" in the last stanza to "I have". I know it doesn't follow the six syllable pattern you seem to be following for that line, but it seems to flow better when read by using "I have" instead. Kudos to you on a fine piece though.

About
Some time ago, I decided to write a humorous short story to give my wife on our 25th anniversary. The words and illustrations seemed to flow from my memory and imagination, about those early days w.. more..
