I'm not 60, I'm 48A Poem by LSSThe ravages of time often reduce us.
I’m not 60, I’m 48! I’m not 60 I’m 48.
My Kids have taken years off my life.
It’s a simple Mathematical computation:
Take the Sum of the years divide by the number
of children you’ve raised.
Subtract for: every fall,
every strain,
every break,
(I hope you know we’re talking emotional now not physical) Factor in the cost of poured out Love,
rotting promises and,
hateful words foolishly said,
And – The new Sum will always be less than the total. Try the Math yourself: Live to a ripe old age. Invest all that you hold dear. Yet – Out of the Fruit of one life,
Grow the seeds of others.
They too begin to add up.
They too begin to make sense.
They too find time growing shorter.
