The King's WarA Poem by LSS
The King with his army will conquer all foes,
Unless he forgets these five little woes:
The first is the greatest, there’s nothing before.
He must use his toilet ere crossing his door.
There’s just nothing worse than stepping in foul,
Especially the ones coming from your own bowel.
The Next is a warning of things soon to come.
Your weapons of warfare like music should hum.
A dent or a mark can ruin your day,
But cleaned up and true can cut a wide way.
The third is a must don’t ever forget,
it must be done home before you leave yet.
A kiss for the missus, and all the kids course,
A kick for the dog, and some hugs for the horse.
The next may seem harmless and often forgot,
The serfs and the peasants and all that crude lot.
The beatings should stop with backs slightly red,
Or like French King Louie may lose his own head.
The last is important, do remember at end,
Without it, its pointless to fight and defend.
A conquering king gets to eat of the spoils.
Or drawn up and quartered and served up hard-boiled.
