Night Scenes

Night Scenes

A Poem by LSS
"

Try falling asleep in front of the TV, you might get this old poem I wrote. My wife got tired of coming out late at night and waking me to come to bed.

"

Looking nightly at the screen,

time goes by like flowing stream.

Hours fly without a pause,

fight no battles, have no cause.

Of a certainty I wake,

no more time that I can take.

I'll be drawn back soon I know,

I can't miss the next big show.

"Night Scenes"
LSS,
A little time spent with a favorite program, if is added up that's a lot of time. How many know personally what this means? My father in law used the phrase for tv one time as "the one eyed bandit." This bandit is actually dwelling in our home with us! Was he invited? Hmmmm........ I sometimes find myself disturbed when openly violent or unedifying stuff is flashing across the screen and will just shut it off. Moderation is the word. Some stuff on tv is really wonderful and is edifying. I'll go for that. Good poem.
Blessings,
Kathy

About
Some time ago, I decided to write a humorous short story to give my wife on our 25th anniversary. The words and illustrations seemed to flow from my memory and imagination, about those early days w.. more..
