1000 Hours (Numb)

1000 Hours (Numb)

A Poem by schnickythep

Every day I shuffle
Around my prison cell
Slowly growing jaded
Inside my living hell
Only reason to keep going
Is a hope that slowly dies
That my life will take a turn
And abandon all  its lies

Spent a thousand hours numb
Just to find something worth living for
Cause life is really worthless
If there's really nothing more

Everyone keeps saying
That life is worth the fight
But I'm not sure if I'm living
I've lost track of the light
Even though I'm not sure
If right now I'm thinking straight
It seems that in this moment
It just may be too late

Spent a thousand hours numb
Just to find something worth living for
Cause life is really worthless
If there's really nothing more

Hope may be fading
But I'll hold on till it dies
Cause I have noting better
To do with all my time
Even though my motivation
May or may not be true
I still want to rediscover
What I once had with you
