It Doesn't MatterA Poem by schnickythepSong I wrote in a few hours. Please review!
How can you expect me now
To leave myself behind After all I've said and done To hold on to my mind Barely hanging as it is To one last little thread Never cared to climb the ladder You put in my head So many seeking sanctuary From the shame inside Only finding shallow lies And dreams destined to die What's so great about everybody else That makes you need to stay Even when you find that all they want Is a little more dirt to say Whats so great about everybody else And if you have to be this way In the end no one is saved By all the games they play See the ones behind the wall Screaming their apathy Tell me how you can survive Your lies are killing me Is all the false acceptance Really worth killing your soul? Well stab it fast before that Pesky conscience takes control What's so great about everybody else That makes you need to stay Even when you find that all they want Is a little more dirt to say Whats so great about everybody else And if you want to be this way In the end no one is saved By all the games they play You say you have cast me out But I'm leaving on my own Nothing really matters When its best to be alone
