Which Way to the Dump?

Which Way to the Dump?

A Poem by schlanks

I'm sorry
Clawing at your courtesy
Just to savor the sting under my fingernails
Until you find a stronger signal within yourself
To relieve me of what once was my place
I remain
The snow you shovel in spring
A customer not yet in line
Well past closing time
The dragging breath before your sigh as
At long last
You give up your temporary
Curbed again, but always mistaken
For recycling
The next owner finds me
Ravenous and arrived
At the vicious beginning

Your writes are sharp-edged and direct. I like it a lot.
You say what you mean.
