Echoes Reflect Empty

Echoes Reflect Empty

A Poem by schlanks

Puzzling over your absence
A tree watches
Calling upon the wind and sun
Their interpretive water dances
Spilling through the window
All across the pieces
Beautiful and dry
Evoking your company
Crediting me
The work I've done to wait here
I wonder
If you're sure I never tire
