The Silent Mind

The Silent Mind

A Poem by schlanks

What fell today upon me
When my reflexive reach
Found only myself caught within
A heavy swelling darkness which
With eyes could not be seen

The air beckoned for answer
I grasped not what had asked her
And upon attempt to action speech
Found naught where I could always breathe
Meaninglessness had end approaching faster
