She Tells Me She Has Tainted Blood

She Tells Me She Has Tainted Blood

A Poem by Jesse Schewe

This girl told me she has a bad cut.
Her tears tell me she's in a rut.
I hug her and say, "Tell me it all."
She yells at me, "It's all his fault!"

She tells me she has tainted blood.
A burden given by her past love.
She wishes this was her last breath.
Because she doesn't want to bring more love into this mess.

All I could do was give her a hug.
While telling her that her heart won't break more with true love.
He won't care if he gets a bad cut if it's you he truly loves.

She looked at me with a smile.
She then leaned back and stared at me for awhile.
Then I seen her smile start to fade.
Her expression looks like a sadden daze.

She mumbled to me while looking down, "There's a possibility you will catch it one day..."
I lifted her chin and said with a smile, "I know that I might someday, someway..."

About
I live my life not a day at a time, but every moment in that day. I like to be social, and meet new people, because you only live once. I tend to always have a happy-go-lucky personality. I'm thank.. more..
