like Romeo and what's-her-nameA Poem by schanzillaheard her friends when they argued against me kept my soul unknown so i'd be classified empty and there was word after word but none categorized me sing along to the instrumental played her game without paying attention deformed sentence structures till it became an addiction still the little wave walks while the tsunami wishes better days in a better haze she killed me seventy seven times with a backwards beat and garage sale rhymes lines and lines and lines and lines scribbled little works of art, i start to stare and then i'm staring for indeterminate lengths of time mesmerized by her eyes the better dialogue unscripted her slow saunter down to the corner store a whole world to explore pause at the stoplight and all she sees is a universe impervious a sunset so harmonic chitchat, sounds from traffic and i'm looking wayward and beat up Colossus feeling miniscule now we're antiheroes like Aqua Teens our best intentions gone all conflict of interest in the indelible swirl of the ever and ever and were we ever together enough? © 2011 schanzilla |
