Grove St./Glen Park

Grove St./Glen Park

A Poem by schanzilla

there she sits

     unbroken

pretty cool at the calmer noons

i exhale

she lightly kicks the leaves and laughs

and leaves me so much in a daydream

rocketship

     the wheel

          meteorite

               the lever

                    all motion

and faintly motion me

     come over

she takes another hit and stares

decently amused

by stars and skies and the sun-o-matic

like the last crashed out on his best adventure

she listens to the wind and whistles outros

elusive on the front steps

thinking absentminded about the devil she knows

while the devil she knows dances badly

awkward and emancipated

like a perfect autumn afternoon

blinding bright and a little breezy

scenic from the doorway

all the way to the end of it all

I'm trying so desperately to understand and I think that I do..but
I guess you never fully know with poetry. I liked the line that says
"thinking absentminded about the devil she knows
while the devil she knows dances badly"...
