jamming with my imaginary friend

jamming with my imaginary friend

A Poem by schanzilla

Mickie stole Chicago back in '06

it was pretty much sociology took a time out

and no one enjoyed it more

i double check my surroundings

but i know

i'm home

right where the avenues get stitched together

i find myself filling in

the silent parts

of other people's conversations

i find myself sketching maps out of smiles and stares

skies and their meeting places

everyone's talking too loud

it's an obstruction of daydream

casual sex with a price tag

a pause for the memory to reawaken

the circus never leaves town

one more last one...
