A Poem by schanzilla

it seems like 37,000 steps

your mind decries me

i am a little lax with the facts but i never killed nobody

better was the bridge, it spanned almost nothing

but it was a pretty cool spot to go smoke beneath

this is taking forever

the drive home

your mixtape still in the cassette deck

your songs are horrible

you come off as a cinematic tour de force

and i'm a Three Stooges short

so all your letterboxed melodrama

winds up with you piefaced and crying about it

and with my next expectant pulse

i drum a dull beat

faint throb, the pop in your head of memories exploding

like your dorsolateral prefrontal cortex was Nagasaki, 1945

and still everything feels unfinished

words strung along until they hit the period

but the period paused

then elected to walk out on the whole thing

daydreamer, wanna give a little winter

like my attention span on your sentence structure

still you're just

interconnected dots and lines

gonna come together where A meets B

lines come together, make a pretty wrapped box

that you can stick your pretty wrapped head in

set it in the corner

forget about it...

I like the relaxed feel. Reminds me of the old days when I smoked way too much pot. And thats a good thing. It's like reading a stream of conscience or something, good work.
