sounds familiar

sounds familiar

A Poem by schanzilla

broken angels shook the sky too hard

there's nothing left

a crumpled sheet of paper

the sight and sound of no one laughing

rolling ocean

panoramic, all horizon

wake on wading footsteps

the familiar raindrop slap

come down and always ever asking

would you be my date

tinkertoy bride?

remaining imaginations never

twist their wrists to loosen knots up

scrolling epics wouldn't falsify conclusions

those songs get sung in faint harmonic

faceless crawling, sleeping on the floor

i'm lost returning smiles

my embrace hangs on for miles

safer in my corner of the room

Compelling as usual. I love how you describe things.
