can wood write?

can wood write?

A Poem by schanzilla

hard draft on the long stare

beached minus the afternoon

whatever springs to mind

villains and heroines

am i good enough for...

it's a rough distinction

amongst cracks in the sidewalk

unlit alley i fall in

smack head on brick

but it's worth the bloodshed

it feels like

downtown

downtown before everybody up and went somewhere else

like losing friends in acceleration

give me highway miles

and a minute or two

give me an honest smile

and a restful slumber

let me know what i've accumulated

if it ain't time or money then something

couple of ink pens rolling 'round no one's chest of drawers

the roses bloom all just the same

got a fair amount of pasture

kite string in tangles

sit and work it out

fingers fumbling under stutter stepping clouds

let it out, breathe it back in again

would you settle on that?

there's no difference between

would you settle on that?

i probably would
