Keep on Dreaming

A song I wrote.

 

Move on, there's no turning back now

Stay strong, I'm right beside you all along

You don't have to be afraid

Lean on me, we'll carry on

Though it seems it's not okay

Together we won't lose our way

Follow the light up ahead

Come with me, take my hand

 

Keep on dreaming for me

And I'll keep on believing in you

Someday they're gonna see

They’re gonna see how our dreams will come true

I know, I know I love you and you love me

You know, you know, we both know we're meant to be

 

Hold on, don't wanna let you go now

Stay with me, coz with you I'm more than I can be

Keep on strumming your guitar

I'll sing for you, we can get so far

Out of the shadows, into the light

Everything just feels so right            

Look at the sky, look up ahead

Follow the light, come take my hand

Third stanza: "Stay with me, coz with you WE'RE more than I can be"...It's the whole synergy thing that occurs when you take two strong entities and combine them to get something much stronger than either of the original portions when standing alone. Don't lose yourself to be a part of a pair. Always make yourself the most important ingredient. It's not selfish, it's survival. Last line, last stanza: "And I know that you know...we both know we're meant to be." This is indeed very lyrical. Hope you get your band.

Wow, this is a great song. You definetaly have to find someone who will sing it and when you do you have to tell me about it. They will definetaly win something with you song. It shows a lot of potential when a singer takes this on. The raw and yet powerful encouragement in staying together is written beautifully within the lines. Great job!

I really like this. It flows so well. "Stay with me, coz with you I'm more than I can be", I love that line. Sometimes my boyfriend makes me feel like that. Awesome piece!
