Let it Go

A song I wrote last March 6, 2007

 

Let it go

Coz something's still missing

When I'm with you I feel alive

But you don't seem to care

Let it go

I can still smile without you

What can I do when I know that

It's never gonna be you

 

I can only dream now

It's no use believing

And I can only stay here

Alone beside myself

I'll watch you from a distance

And I'll leave my heart to bleed

Until I rise again and breathe

 

Let it go

Coz it's crazy to love you

I get lost in your smile

And I'll be keeping you photographs

Let it go

Get rid of this feeling

Coz waiting for you is like

Waiting for rain in this drought

 

I can only dream now

It's no use believing

Is it wrong to be near you?

Is it crazy to care?

I've been trying to forget you

But I know you're still there

I know where you belong now

And it's safe in her arms

Looks like I can't be with you

So I'm telling my heart

 

Let it go

Coz I can only dream now

This poem is like a song! Letting go, very hard to do when you still think about the "what could have beens". In the end, you will be a stronger woman!
