The Leaf

I was a fallen leaf
Separated from its tree
Carried by the wind
To who knows where.
Alone.
Lost.
Helpless.
Fallen.
Forgotten.

Until...

The sun shone.
The rain fell.
The wind blew.
The earth broke.
A tree grew.
A leaf unfolded.
Fresh.
Vibrant.
Hopeful.
Blessed.
Loved.

I love the poem. The feeling of a leaf seperated from the tree. There is part loneliness and seperation in the poem. But also there was a sense of adventure, a subdued one from the travelling..who knows where the winds will take you. A sweet piece.

btw, as i read this it is the 66th view with 6 reviews. Such a beautiful poem should have such an evil number.
