Don't Do Drugs, Do Our Drugs

Don't Do Drugs, Do Our Drugs

A Poem by RebeccaRose
"

The Pharmaceutical Company is corrupt as hell, here's a glimpse from a rant I had.

"
Only do our brand of drugs.
They may help or they may not.
Dosing your voice into shrugs
Park your car in the statistic lot.

Xanax should keep you straight.
Outlawing plants is our main goal.
Your drug use is now up for debate,
Screening costs deepening the hole,

You're selling your Adderal
To pay for methamphetimine.
This was not our fault,
That you could not stay clean.

Rehab is you best bet,
Which your insurance won't cover.
You need us; don't forget,
But we treat you like any other.

You're anxious and in a hurry,
Take this script for Klonopin,
Hope you vision isn't too blurry,
You need to sign these papers, then.

You've been caught.
The drugs weren't from us,
Drugs illegally bought.
Plead guilty, get on the bus.

Don't worry about your served time,
When you're settled we'll start again,
Take our drugs, and then get in line.
Remember to tell all your friends.

" Plead guilty, get on the bus." Prison is big business. More than 70% percent of inmates in state prisons are there for some type of drug charge. The first offenders are doing time in a college for criminals instead of a rehab programs.
Once your in the system the machine will not let go you have to fight to stay out of the system.

Oh my God! This got my attention. I hope this isn't inappropriate but I laughed out loud at the absurdity of this situation. I've been there. It's all a business isn't it? And not a very good one.
