September Blues

September Blues

A Poem by Scarlet M.
"

I wrote this piece for a friend who lost her mother years ago.

"
delft blue ocean aurified by the sun
a deluge of memories clangor
filled with disconsolate thoughts
meant for only but one

the sun collapses, in throes of despair
tremulous echoes washed
like an unrhymed cadence
that she could not even bear

once in a year, when everything halts
she trots back to her one true home
like a heart set in stone
eternally on a cold fall night
