Cosmic Love

Cosmic Love

A Poem by Scarlet M.

I want to incise your name in the stars tonight
but my nervousness wouldn't let me.
You sat next to me, galaxies apart
of course you wouldn't notice
how the planets were exploding inside me
one by one, as if it was answering to your calling.

Our hands were placed a few meters apart
like magnets wanting to touch,
but we were two different souls
found in two different worlds.
Still we find ourselves in each other's arms
continuously being sucked in a black hole
An inescapable dimension we call ourselves ours.
