Mendacious Audacity

Mendacious Audacity

A Poem by Scarlet M.

An epitome of sadness,

she embodied perfectly

a burden to the core,

she tried to cover in certainty.

Told such dreadful fibs

with her heart beneath her skin.

Her eyes, they hold lament,

lies a single trickle of tear;

torn apart by counterfeit

but fearless she remained

she hid in her stubborn world,

masquerading herself as one,

but grieving soul proclaimed.

Tell me, what chaos has made you

an empty soulless shell?

Tell me, what remedy do you seek

to once again,

relive your life

against this ruthless hell?

Powerful and amazing words ans thoughts.
"Tell me, what chaos has made you
an empty soulless shell?
Tell me, what remedy do you seek
to once again,
relive your life
against this ruthless hell?"
The above lines could stand alone. Strong description led to perfect ending. Thank you Scarlet for sharing the excellent poetry.
