Part 3: There She Comes, There He Goes

Part 3: There She Comes, There He Goes

A Story by Scarlet Alice
"

A story of unusual meeting and finding something better in life.

"
After a long silence, Aaron finally spoke.

"You were right. This is ridiculous. Who would want to spend a whole day with a loser like me. I shouldn't have thought of this in the first place. My mom is gonna laugh hard when I tell he about this."

He was trying so hard to smile, thought Magi as she observed him.

"My mom is actually in the hospital. She was given only a week to live. I know she always worry for her clumsy son. She wanted me to go out on a date with girls rather than stay in the hospital with her. She wanted me to meet a good girl who would take care of me when she's gone. I want her to stop worrying about me and be happy instead. I thought of looking for someone I can introduce to her so she would stop worrying."

His voice was shaking and tears started flowing down his eyes. He looked down the grasses to hide his face. Magi looked up and closed her eyes.

"Everything will be fine. She will be fine."

Aarom stopped crying and slowly looked at her. He wiped his tears and stood up. Fear was on his face as he ran away.

"It was a prediction. No. The opposite of the prediction. My mom is going to die."

That was the only thing on Aaron's mind as he ran going to the hospital. With his desperate speed he made it to the hospital. His father was outside the room. He was surprised to see his son.

"What are you doing here? Have you heard about it?"
Aaron felt weak. He fell to his knees and started sobbing. His father came closer and said,

"Your mom..... She's fine. The doctor said it's a miracle. Her condition is getting better. She's going to be fine. She's not going to die."

He couldn't believe what he just heard. His father helped him stood up. Suddenly Magi appeared behing Aaron. She was catching her breath.

"How there you make me follow you all the way here. I have to run fast to catch up. You didn't even gave me a chance to..."

Magi wasn't finished talking when Aaron hug her tightly and said,

"Thank you."

Those two words were the only words he was able to say to Magi and his father was surprised.

The day was almost over and sun was slowly setting. Aaron and Magi noticed this while walking home. Magi stop to look at the sun.

"I wonder how many people is required to eat a tangerine with that size."

Magi realized Aaron was looking at her instead of the sun.

"You have been looking at me that way ever since we left the hospital."

"It's just that I still can't believe how you made a correct prediction."

"I have never made a wrong prediction. Its just that i hate seeing sad and bothered faces whenever I make bad predictions so have decided to say the opposite of what I really see. I heard from a student about your mom. I had a vision and I saw her getting better soon. I wanted to tell you so I followed you on your blind date. The prediction about your date came to me unexpectedly."

She turned to him and smiled sweetly.

The day had been a very long, tiring and unusual day for Aaron but seeing Magi smiling at him made him wished for the day to not end too soon.
