Love-Hate

Love-Hate

A Poem by Shui

She tries to articulate her words with delicacy

but they converge to form a mass of phonics

{Retaliation}

Gingerly, she picks up a pen and tries to divulge her feelings in the form of letters

but nothing falls in place

Scribbles, black. Like asphalt we trample on, and the starless night sky

{Betrayal}

They speak to her with tacitness,

And oxymorons they think she doesn’t process

Implicit directness

{Concoction}

Lies exposed

Truths unravelled

The words that lusts for her acuity,

And leaves her in anguish

{Merciless}

With words, she falters, reels, flounders, wavers and quavers.

But with words, she is alive.

No more artificiality.

She loves words

And she hates words

{Ambivalence}
