Light and DarkA Poem by Sara BrownYet another "rush job" I pieced together.
You found me in the dark,
but lost me in the light. You hugged me in the morning, but kissed me softly goodnight. Your presence leaves its traces" it echoes in the halls. It rises from the floorboards, It travels through the walls. I wait for the evening sun to fade" for daytime colors to dull. So that I may soon find you again Once commences the nighttime lull. I long for your obsidian caresses though we split at crack of dawn. I disappear in beams of sunlight As you fade into the blackness" gone. Though we are destined to be apart" different to the core. There is no darkness without light, nothing less and nothing more.
