Auburn EloquenceA Poem by S.A BeachA poem that a friend and myself worked on.
A single mother sings a lullaby A burlesque beat to rock her heart to sleep The babe rests her head on the soft pillow Her cinnamon tears coming to rest She lays there not knowing what the future holds A satin dream lets itself unfold To the greatness and pureness of this ones heart A translucent wish from a purple heart The crimson blood of greatness flows through her veins Like the fresh taste of raspberry champagne To celebrate the success in life She is but an icicle preparing to melt To reveal her true self She needs to breathe ivory In order to understand the essence of life And twirl like the marble on her floor. -Mandi Doyle and Steven Beach
