Gut Stains

Gut Stains

A Poem by Ellie

He came to the earth from a hopeful planet that lives off nobility. They are delicate and in search of spreading their love. He flew down and began traveling to each continent. His top layer of skin began to disintegrate from the poisonous and contaminated air. He continued still determined on finding true life. His frown grew and he was slowly decaying. Muscles and veins now visible, he still walks on nearly around the world. He has seen no signs of real life but is still hopeful. He reaches the arctic and sees stillness and promise. Promise that we haven't killed everything yet. He is freezing now and his heart falls. He left his stains all around the world because we killed him. We killed our salvation.
