Not the Same Without You

Not the Same Without You

A Poem by Darcy

the ground flying under me

the breeze wisping past

it all slowing to a crawl

and I've found my place at last

in this stand of trees

in this little grove

surrounded by tall grasses

nothing that I loathe

the clear blue sky is peaceful

the clouds are serene

leaves floating in midair

like nothing that I've seen

it must be a fairytale

it has to be a dream

a magical faraway castle

fits right in this theme

the flowers bloomin in seconds

the river trickling by

attracting a deer and rabbit

birds singing a lullabye

and yet with all this paradise

and with all this beauty

I'm missing one vital thing

I have no company

I wan you here with me

I want you by my side

watching the sunset go

and seeing the moon rise

this is an amazing poem. i love the description of the surroundings, the scenery seems so beautiful just by the words you used. And how in the end you mentioned that like you have everything but that special someone.
thanks for sharing

I miss him.. reading this you bring back feelings id long buried..never fortten but buried
you have a gift..altho i cannot sense any emotion in reading this
the beautiful description of the scene laid out before you is beautiful
company without it we walk alone
a mere shawdow of the laughter of many
a simple being in a simple world
leaving no footsteps no memories
without company
who can recount those times
those seconds
cause we are alone
we walk alone
and noone will walk next to us
silence , silene of no words
alone
