I Once Was

I Once Was

A Poem by Darcy

I once

was a dreamer

all those years ago,

but reality took my childhood;

it stole it with a laugh and didn't give it back.

I once

was opptimist,

until I found the truth;

that there is only room for pessimism in this world.

I once

was a loud mouth,

since though I've quieted down;

being the meek thoughtful one is the only way to go

I once

was narrowminded,

but now my mind is open;

I see things baised people fail to grasp with their critiqueing eyes.

I once

was a child,

now I have grown;

I'm a lost new adolescent not know what way to go.

I guess we all have problems to choose which road should we take...
We are afraid to take the wrong way...
This is good, Good job!

About
I'm 14 year old girl, and I would like comments on how to make my work better, I write a lot of poems because they come easiest, they flow from me randomly, sometimes I don't even know what they mean more..
