The Music Box

The Music Box

A Poem by saviorys

You hear that music
it stuck on repeat
the tune accompanies the
sniffing comes with her weep
when her heart is
leaking so deep
holding
waiting
for that phone to beep
the boyfriend is far away
holding tight on the promise
they both plan keep
waiting for the call
or she just can't fall asleep

So far apart
but always in my heart
holding my hand
the sight of her
still sending turbulence all over my land
I don't understand
finding her was fate?
like finding gold in the sand
then why are we away
while our love is in demand
that's just how life is planned

She's opening up
the whole music box
trying to change
the music script
tears drop
crumbling lips
as she
imagines his hand
taking a geography trip
all over her hip
emotional eclipse
every item of memory
relives the laughter bits
desire to see him lits
sugary words
love sweeter than sweets
I love you
engraved on her heart
and the music box sheets
