Reaching Out.

Reaching Out.

A Poem by saviorys

I describe what I see within my sight
Look at the world from above the height
War and violence on every sight
Hatred and vengeance in every write
I'm not trying to preach, I'm here to enlight
We are selfish, unappreciative just like we did to mike

His gone now
His gone now
You tell me to move on but i don't know how
Mistaken once, mistaken twice I won't allow
So I say it's all about love to everyone
All is forgiven, after all is said and done
Let's love each other, put down all our gun
We meet natural disasters that leaves us with none
Losing love ones every minute, hour, day, month

Heartbreak
Heartache
Overwhelmed with tears upon my wake
Drip by drip it fills the lake
Of my sorrow, of my regret,
Comforting smile I just can't fake
Only when we lose something we remember how to love
Forget how to hate
I guess we never do learn
As the devil enjoys watching the world burn
We be back on selfishness after every turn

Politicians they be lying
Guys they be womanizing
Girls they be materializing
I wonder if rain means God might be crying
The world has it's beautiful side, there's no denying
Time to show some love, no harm trying
When life is hard to get through
Just so you know, I'm here reaching out to you
Life is imperfect, but still beautiful.

How true and raw with the understanding that the world is at a crossing path to everlasting pain. I love how you capture this sadness and the truth in such a poetic way. But what I love the most about this is that you show that all we need to do is put our selfishness and differences aside to reach out. For the better. So, thank you for reminding me of this truth and for sharing a wonderful write. :)
