Always

Always

A Poem by Saving Grace

Hold your breath, Count to eight,

I must admit, I took the bait.

The cunning smile, the aftertaste,

Concealing my whole twist of fate.

Believable but not the same,

Those eyes hide more than just the pain.

And even when all that remains

Is lullabies in the freezing rain,

I will always love you.

Past mistakes, anoying scars,

How they do tare us apart.

My darling you do have my heart,

And yet that's not enough by far.

Wicked moments anger steams,

Problems ruining all our dreams.

Not knowing what all this means,

Yet I need you, I am your fiend.

And I will always love you.

i really liked this. the rhyming factor actually helped it- i felt like it gave it that extra edge. my only thing is the wording with "My darling you do have my heart, And yet that's not enough by far." slows down the flow a little for me.
