Awaiting Return

Awaiting Return

A Poem by Saving Grace
"

God, how i miss him...

"

Fingertips separating,

Distance increasing,

A tear and a prayer,

That you'll return to me.

Hours turn cold,

Pain becomes bold,

And yes, I'm still hoping,

You'll come back to me.

Washing away,

Counting the days,

Too long ago you said:

You'd return for me.

Nights running long,

Lonely and wrong,

Is how I shall feel until

You come back for me.
