This isn't What We Need

This isn't What We Need

A Poem by Saving Grace

It's all I can do

here without you

i can only stand so far above

all alone I know I'm small

can you save my only soul

It's calling for you ohh

i can only hold back once

cold the words just float around

my head keeps me from falling down

this isn't what we need

this isn't what we need

holding on to all thats left

praying that there's something left

for me

when u come home

whisper the words they're

caught in your throat

You hope to breathe, so carelessly

Hope is not nearly enough

you broke through the dark and knew

I loved you all along.

I can only hold back once

cold the words just float around

my head keeps me from falling down

this isn't what we need

this isn't what we need

holding on to all thats left

praying that there's something left

for me

when u come home

Imagine the pain here

melted by rain

positioned by spite confronting truth

the ocean swallowing whole

and consuming my need to see

this isn't what we need

the distance stretching thin

my heart with aching sting

how can we suffer so,

in the name love
