War

War

A Poem by Saving Grace

Warfare in this house.

Anger in all directions,

Tangling a web around me.

Can you hear? They're dropping bombs.

Warfare in this city.

Abused psyches and worn souls.

Everyone is fighting here.

Can you hear it? They're dropping bombs.

Warfare in this country.

Abandoned hearts and starving stomachs.

Dirty hands working quickly.

Power looking down upon us.

Greedy, needing something more.

Walk over us to make their worlds go round.

Can you hear it? They're making bombs.

Warfare. Warfare on this planet.

All around us dieing out.

Weak get weaker,

No one's listening.

No one cares we're dieing out.

Kill each other for our pleasure.

Needing something trivial.

Digging Earth to move along.

Can you hear it? They're dropping bombs.
