Paying for StupidityA Poem by Saving Grace
The man on the corner, he tells me the storm is coming, And I wonder how he knows we're going to die. We strive for plastic happiness causing others downfall and demise, And we try and compensate by telling self assuring lies. We weep for people we don't know. But, to help? We never try. One bullet took away this life, and all we do is cry. Courage is microscopic, as I study each new face. We blend into each other and disappear without a trace. The lonely girl who hurts herself, you see her everyday. She's waiting for you to save her, it never happens. Now we pray. Forgiveness is free, but not when you expect it. Are you truly sorry, Deep in your regret? You want to make a difference, never made a stand. Buried in your problems that never go as planned. You tend to forget everyone, sink it to the rhythm of you life. Suddenly you notice your carelessness has a price. © 2008 Saving GraceReviews
